Kelechi Iheanacho's explosive start to life in Turkey has earned the Nigerian striker another major recognition.
The Super Eagles forward has been named the best player of the opening eight rounds of the Turkish 1. Lig by beIN SPORTS.
Iheanacho has been in prolific form since joining Bursaspor, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists in eight league appearances.
The 29-year-old has found the net in every league match he has played for the club since arriving as a free agent this summer.
His goals have helped Bursaspor make a strong start to the campaign, with the club recording six wins and one draw from its opening eight matches.
Iheanacho's latest standout performance came against Batman Petrolspor, where he scored twice in a 2-1 comeback victory, including the winning goal in the 85th minute.
The brace extended his scoring run to eight consecutive league games and saw him match a Bursaspor scoring record previously set by Fernandao during the 2014/15 season.
His impressive club form has also earned him a return to the Super Eagles squad for Nigeria's October 6 friendly against Russia.
For Iheanacho, the Turkish adventure is quickly turning into a highly productive new chapter.
